Customizing Your Account Settings

Your account settings page is where you tailor Pacemaker to the way you work — from the date format you prefer to how you connect Google Docs. Here's a tour of each section.

Update your username, email address, and password. (Changing your username updates all of your plan links — see Changing email addresses and usernames.)

Preferences

Set how the site behaves for you:

Profession — tell us what kind of work you do so we can tailor the experience.
Date format — choose how dates are displayed across the site.
Week start — start your week on Sunday or Monday.

Celebrations

Pacemaker celebrates your progress with animations when you log work. Here you can choose a single animation for everything, or set different animations for different moments (logging progress, completing a checklist item, finishing a plan). Use the preview button to see them, or dial them down if you'd prefer something more subtle.

Billing & Plan Limits

Manage your subscription via the Manage Subscription button (which opens our secure Stripe billing portal), see your current plan limits, and buy additional plans if you're on the free tier. See Changing or Cancelling your Subscription.

Templates

See how many templates you're using out of your allowance (Free: 1, Lite: 2, Pro: 5), create new plan or checklist templates, and manage the ones you have. See Reusable Templates.

Notifications

Turn on Schedule Reminders — daily or weekly email summaries of the work across all your plans — and set your time zone. Email reminders are included with Premium Lite and Pro. See Email Reminders.

Work Boundaries (Beta)

If you have access to this beta, you can set an account-wide daily ceiling — Pacemaker won't schedule more than a set amount per day across all of your plans of a given activity type. Useful for protecting against over-committing when you're running several plans at once.

Connected Accounts (Pacemaker Premium subscribers only)

Connect, reconnect, or disconnect your Google account for Google Docs auto-sync. See Syncing with Google Docs.

Beta Access

Opt into beta features when they're available.

Danger Zone

Delete your account. Note that you'll need to cancel an active Premium subscription before deleting. See Account Deletion.

Note: Some sections appear only for certain tiers or beta participants (for example, Work Boundaries is currently beta-gated).
