Changing email addresses and usernames

Changing your email address can be done by heading to your account settings page. The change will take effect immediately. Some emails that are already scheduled to your old address may still be delivered there for the first few hours after the change.


Changing your username can also be done by heading to your account settings page. In the Username row at the top, click Change, then type in your new username, and click Save.

A few things to note:

  • Allowed characters: letters, numbers, dashes, dots, and underscores. 3-30 characters.
  • Case-sensitive: Alice and alice are different usernames, but only one of them can exist at a time.
  • Must be unique and must not match your email address.
  • Your URLs will update. Once you change your username, any links tied to your old username- including your profile link and previously shared plan URLs (such as those posted on social media or sent via email/newsletters)- will no longer work. After making the change, be sure to share your new profile link and update any previously distributed plan links.
