Reusable Templates
Ever find yourself reusing the same settings again and again for each plan? Reusable templates can help you standardize your approach to frequent goals. You'll create plans faster and get back to work quicker.
Creating and Deleting Templates
There are two ways to create a template: First, you can use the top navigation menu to create a template for standard or checklist plans from scratch.
Second, you can use an existing plan you or another user did before as a source for the new template. The 'Save As Template' option is in the share menu on the plan display page and may look something like this:
The template editor will look just like the regular plan editor but a purple background will appear to indicate that you're setting up your template as a blueprint for new plans later.
Set up your plan as you normally would then click Save Template.
Using templates to create plans
Once you've saved a template, you can use the "Use Template" button to copy the settings to a new plan, for example, your template header once saved, may look like this:
Premium users can decide whether or not their plans are public or private while any user can tweak any of the template defaults to their liking.
Note that, editing a template after a plan has been created from it will not update those plans.
Viewing Your Templates

Common Use Cases for Templates
Here are some common situations where templates can be helpful
- Paid Work Settings: You own a translation, ghostwriting, editing or proofreading business and you only set up a handful of plan settings and use it repeatedly. Use templates to set up common parameters for the packages you sell.
- Content Creation and Publishing: For bloggers, vloggers, and content creators, checklists templates can outline the stages of content creation, editing, and distribution that repeat for every article, video or podcast.
- Honoring common holidays: Perhaps you observe a weekly Sabbath or honor all European holidays. You can set up templates to skip work on these days and use those as a starting point for your new plans.
