Stats
As a premium user, you are able to see advanced data and statistics on your work tracked in Pacemaker. Remember, in Pacemaker, you can track progress based on any unit of work like words, pages, chapters, etc. There are two kinds of statistics you'll see: a) per plan statistics on your plan page and b) historical statistics covering all plans you've ever created on Pacemaker, even if they were deleted at some point.
Per Plan Stats
On the plan display page, you'll see a stats that you can use for reflection on how you are progressing on your current plan. You will be able to see the following
- Current streak (in days) - available for all users
- Longest stream (in days) - available for all users
- Daily Average Work - available for all users
- Average Work on Weekdays
- Average Work on Weekends
- Total Work Done
- Total Time Spent - available for Premium Pro users only
- Average Work Done Per Hour - available for Premium Pro users only
Pacemaker calculates averages based on all the days that you do actual work. It excludes days where you log zero progress
Historical Account Stats
Often times, you need to be able to analyze patterns and trends in my work over arbitrary periods of time. This is where your account stats page comes in. On your account stats page, you'll be able to see the following for any date range
- Total Plans
- Busiest Day of week - this is the day that you log the most progress entries
- Total Work done by plan and across all of your plans tracked by the same content, unit and activity. For example, you'll be able to see totals across all your Book Writing plans tracked by words
- Total Work done by day of week across all of your plans tracked by the same content, unit and activity
Account stats are available for all Premium users and Time Tracking Stats are available for Premium Pro users only. You can try a full demo here.
If you've found an error with your stats, you can go to your plan page and edit your progress values. This will update your overall stats as well. You cannot update stats for plans that have been deleted. You can opt to archive plans you've completed but may want to come refer to later.
We welcome requests to track new stats either on a per-plan or per-account basis. Simply write in with your suggestion and we'll be happy to look into it.
